Possible Causes
Shorted motor windings, Faulty inverter module on PCB, Loose motor connector, Damaged motor harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before accessing the motor or PCB.
- Step 1 – Inspect motor connector: Remove the rear panel and check that the motor plug is fully seated and free of corrosion or burning.
- Step 2 – Check wiring harness: Follow the harness from motor to PCB, looking for damage or chafing. Repair or replace as needed.
- Step 3 – Test motor windings: Use a multimeter to measure resistance between motor phases (for brushless motors) or windings (for universal motors). Compare with Beko specifications. Significant imbalance or short to earth indicates a faulty motor.
- Step 4 – Inverter/PCB: If the motor tests good, the inverter stage on the PCB may be defective. This is a complex, high-voltage circuit and should be serviced only by qualified technicians.
