Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray activating float switch, Split door seal, Loose hose or clamp inside cabinet, Cracked tub or sump hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply immediately if a leak is suspected.
- Step 1 – Inspect for visible leaks: Look around and under the machine for water. Mop up any standing water.
- Step 2 – Access base tray: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward (with assistance) and check the base tray for water. If present, dry the tray completely with towels or a sponge.
- Step 3 – Locate leak source: Remove the rear and/or side panels. Check the door seal, sump hose, tub-to-pump hose, inlet hoses, and detergent drawer hoses for splits, loose clamps, or drips. Run a short fill cycle while observing (with covers off only if you are competent and all live parts are shielded).
- Step 4 – Repair leak: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, or replace a damaged door seal as needed.
- Step 5 – Reset leak sensor: Once the leak is fixed and the base is dry, restore power and test. If E30 persists with a dry base, the float switch or its wiring may be faulty and require replacement.
