Partial Drain / Pump Performance Issue
Washer-dryer does not drain fully; small amount of water remains in drum after cycle

Possible Causes
Partially blocked pump filter, Partially blocked drain hose, Weak drain pump, Incorrect drain hose height causing backflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and prepare towels for any water spillage.
- Step 1 – Clean pump filter: Open the pump filter cover and remove any lint or debris. Ensure the filter is fully tightened when refitting.
- Step 2 – Flush drain hose: Detach the drain hose from the standpipe or sink and flush it with water to clear any partial blockages.
- Step 3 – Check hose installation: Ensure the hose is installed at the correct height and not submerged in standing water, which can cause backflow.
- Step 4 – Assess pump performance: Run a drain-only program and listen to the pump. If it sounds weak or intermittent, or if water drains very slowly despite clear hoses, replace the drain pump.
