Possible Causes
Swollen or warped door seal pressing on door, Failed door lock mechanism, Broken handle or latch, Residual water level not detected as empty
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before attempting to open the door by non-standard means.
- Step 1 – Wait and power reset: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes, then reconnect and try to start and cancel a short cycle to trigger unlock.
- Step 2 – Check for water: If water is visible in the drum, manually drain via the pump filter. The door will not unlock if water is present.
- Step 3 – Use emergency release: Access the emergency door release near the pump filter (if fitted) and gently pull to open the door.
- Step 4 – Inspect and replace lock: Once open, inspect the door lock and handle. Replace the door lock assembly if it is mechanically jammed or burnt.
