Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, Excess detergent use, Standing water in door seal folds, Blocked drain causing residual water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use appropriate cleaning agents and follow label instructions. Do not mix bleach with other chemicals.
- Step 1 – Clean door seal: Wipe the folds of the door gasket with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution or dedicated washing machine cleaner. Remove visible mold and residue.
- Step 2 – Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cycle with a machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (if permitted by Beko guidelines) to dissolve residues.
- Step 3 – Clean detergent drawer: Remove the detergent drawer and scrub away mold and detergent build-up. Clean the housing as well.
- Step 4 – Improve drying and ventilation: After each use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow the interior to dry.
- Step 5 – Check drainage: Ensure the pump filter is clean and that water is fully draining at the end of cycles.
