Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or hose, Faulty water level pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Control PCB sensing circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power and turn off the water supply tap before inspection.
- Check for overfilling: If the drum is visibly too full, manually drain via the pump filter and drain hose to prevent flooding.
- Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover of the Belling washer-dryer to access the pressure switch. Follow the thin rubber hose down to the tub/air chamber. Remove it and blow gently through to ensure it is clear. Clean any soap scum or lint.
- Clean air chamber: At the tub connection, check the plastic air chamber for blockages. Remove and rinse if clogged with detergent residue.
- Test pressure switch: With power off, disconnect the switch and test continuity across its terminals while gently blowing into the hose connection. The contacts should change state at different pressures. If not, replace the pressure switch.
- Check inlet valve: If water continues to enter even when the machine is off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
- Control issue: If all components are clear and functional but E04 persists, the main control PCB water level sensing circuit may be faulty and require replacement by a professional.
