Possible Causes
Blocked condenser unit, Faulty condenser pump (on condenser models), Blocked condenser drain hose, Faulty condenser temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before working on the dryer system.
- Clean condenser: If your Belling washer-dryer has a removable condenser, slide it out from the front or rear and rinse thoroughly under a tap to remove lint and detergent deposits. Let it drain and refit.
- Check condenser drain: Locate the small drain hose or channel from the condenser tray to the pump or sump. Clear any blockages with a flexible brush or pipe cleaner.
- Inspect condenser pump (if present): Access the pump near the base of the machine. Check for obstructions and test the pump coil for continuity. Replace if open circuit or seized.
- Sensor check: Locate the condenser temperature sensor (NTC) on the duct or condenser housing. Test its resistance at room temperature and compare with Belling specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Control issue: If mechanical and sensor components are fine, E12 may indicate a PCB fault in the dryer control section. Technician diagnosis is recommended.
