Possible Causes
Loose UI harness connector, Faulty control panel PCB, Moisture ingress into control fascia, Main PCB communication failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power before removing the control panel or top cover.
- Power reset: Unplug the Belling washer-dryer for 10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test. This can clear minor communication glitches.
- Inspect control fascia: Check for signs of moisture or detergent ingress around the buttons and display. Dry the area gently and avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the panel.
- Check UI harness: Remove the top cover and locate the ribbon cable or harness between the user interface board and the main PCB. Reseat both ends carefully, ensuring no bent pins.
- Visual PCB check: Inspect both the UI board and main PCB for burnt components, corrosion, or cracked solder joints. Any visible damage usually requires board replacement.
- Replacement: If reseating connectors does not resolve E14, either the UI board or main PCB is likely faulty. Replacement should follow Belling part numbers and may require programming; use a qualified technician.
