Possible Causes
Motor not reaching target speed, Worn brushes (if fitted), Faulty tachometer, Loose motor belt
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before accessing the rear panel or motor.
- Check belt: Remove the rear panel and inspect the drive belt. If loose, frayed, or off the pulley, refit or replace with the correct Belling belt.
- Brushes and tach: Inspect and replace worn carbon brushes and test the tachometer coil as described under E06.
- Load test: Try a spin-only cycle with a small, balanced load. If the drum jerks or fails to accelerate, suspect motor or PCB issues.
- Further diagnosis: If mechanical parts are sound, the motor or PCB may require replacement. This is a higher-level repair best handled by a technician.
