Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on PCB, Faulty mains interference filter, Loose power cord connection inside machine, Failed main control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the Belling washer-dryer before removing any covers. Mains voltages are present inside even when the machine appears dead.

  • Confirm supply: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Check the household fuse or breaker.
  • Inspect power cord: Examine the cord externally for damage. If damaged, replace the entire cord set.
  • Check mains filter and connections: Remove the top or rear panel to access the mains entry point. Verify that live, neutral, and earth wires are securely connected to the mains filter and onward to the PCB.
  • Internal fuse: Some Belling PCBs have an onboard fuse. If accessible and visibly blown, replace only with the exact same rating. If it blows again, a deeper fault exists and a technician should diagnose.
  • PCB failure: If power reaches the PCB but there is no response, the board's power supply section may have failed. Replace the main control PCB using the correct Belling part number.
