Possible Causes
Torn or perished door gasket, Blocked door seal drain holes, Over-foaming from excess detergent, Loose door glass clamp
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine and turn off the water supply before inspection.
- Inspect door seal: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber gasket all around for tears, holes, or splits. Pay attention to the bottom where objects often damage it.
- Clean seal and drain holes: Wipe away mould and detergent residue. Clear any small drain holes at the bottom of the seal that allow water to return to the drum.
- Detergent use: Ensure you are using HE (low-suds) detergent and the correct dose for a Belling washer-dryer. Over-foaming can cause leaks past the seal.
- Replace gasket: If damaged, remove the outer and inner retaining bands and fit a new Belling-compatible door seal, ensuring correct alignment with the tub and front panel.
