Possible Causes
Unbalanced load, Worn suspension dampers, Loose drum counterweight, Worn drum bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before internal inspection. Do not continue running the machine if it is violently shaking.
- Balance the load: Stop the cycle, redistribute laundry evenly, and avoid overloading. Run a spin-only cycle to test.
- Check levelling: Ensure the Belling washer-dryer is level and all feet are firmly on the floor. Adjust and lock the feet.
- Inspect dampers: Access the underside or rear to inspect suspension dampers. Replace if they are leaking oil or offer little resistance.
- Counterweights: Check that concrete weights on the tub are secure. Tighten any loose bolts.
- Bearings: If a deep rumbling noise is present even when turning the drum by hand, the tub bearings may be worn and require replacement (major repair).
