Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC wiring connector, Damaged harness between NTC and control board, Faulty analog input on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the heater/NTC area.
- Locate NTC sensor: The NTC is usually mounted in the heater flange or directly in the tub wall near the heater. Access from the rear panel.
- Inspect connector: Ensure the NTC plug is fully seated and free of corrosion or detergent residue. Clean and reconnect.
- Test NTC (qualified persons): Remove the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to Blomberg specifications (commonly 4–20 kΩ). If reading is infinite, near zero, or does not change with temperature, replace the NTC.
- Check wiring: Trace the harness back to the control board for damage or pinched sections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board check: If a new NTC and good wiring do not clear E14, the main PCB's sensor input may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
