Possible Causes
Shorted water inlet valve coil, Shorted triac on main control board, Wiring short between valve and PCB, Moisture on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps before inspection.
- Inspect inlet valve: Remove the top cover and check the inlet valve assembly for signs of burning or melting. Replace the valve if damaged.
- Test valve coils (qualified persons): Measure resistance of each coil. If any coil is significantly lower than specification or shorted, replace the valve.
- Check wiring harness: Look for pinched or rubbed-through wires between the valve and control board. Repair or replace damaged sections.
- Control board assessment: If the valve and wiring are good, the triac on the main PCB may be shorted, causing E16. Board-level repair or replacement is required and should be done by a qualified technician.
