Possible Causes
Faulty Start/Pause button on control panel, Child lock function activated, Software glitch in control board, Loose UI-to-main-board ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing any control covers.
- Check child lock: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. Disable child lock by holding the specified button combination (refer to the user manual; often pressing and holding two option buttons for several seconds).
- Power reset: Unplug the machine for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the top cover and gently pull the control panel forward. Check that the ribbon cable between the UI and main PCB is firmly seated.
- Button test: If some buttons work and Start/Pause does not, the membrane switch or PCB under that button may be faulty and require replacement of the UI board.
