Possible Causes
Worn or broken drive belt, Loose motor mounting bolts, Misaligned drum pulley, Overloaded drum causing belt slip
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the rear panel.
- Access belt: Remove the rear cover to expose the drum pulley and motor.
- Inspect belt: Check if the belt is off the pulley, frayed, or snapped. If off but intact, inspect for glazing or stretching; replace if worn.
- Check pulleys and motor mount: Ensure the drum pulley is tight on the shaft and the motor is securely mounted. Tighten any loose bolts.
- Fit new belt: Place the new belt around the motor pulley first, then partially around the drum pulley. Rotate the drum by hand to walk the belt fully onto the pulley.
- Test: Refit the rear panel, plug in, and run a short wash to confirm proper drum rotation.
