Possible Causes

Frequent low-temperature washes, Residual moisture in drum and seal, Lint and detergent build-up in condenser and ducts, Blocked drain leading to stagnant water

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before cleaning internal components.

  • Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90 °C wash with a washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar to kill bacteria and remove residue.
  • Clean door seal: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild bleach solution. Remove lint and standing water.
  • Clean detergent drawer: Remove the dispenser drawer and scrub away mold and detergent deposits. Clean the housing as well.
  • Drying system cleaning: If accessible, clean the condenser and internal lint filters. Ensure good airflow.
  • Ventilation habit: Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between uses to allow drying and reduce odor formation.
