How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply before working on seals.

  • Inspect seal: Open the door and carefully examine the entire circumference of the rubber bellow for tears, holes, or hardened areas.
  • Clean seal: Remove coins, hairpins, and lint from the folds of the seal. Wipe with a mild detergent solution.
  • Check clamps: Verify that the outer and inner retaining bands are properly seated and tight. Refit if loose.
  • Replace seal if damaged: Remove the outer clamp, peel the seal from the front panel, then remove the inner clamp from the tub. Fit the new Blomberg-compatible seal in reverse order, ensuring the drain holes are at the bottom.
  • Test for leaks: Run a short wash while observing the door area.
