Possible Causes
Closed or low-pressure water supply, Clogged inlet filters at water valve, Defective water inlet valve coil, Faulty wiring between inlet valve and main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before disconnecting hoses.
- Check water supply: Ensure the wall tap feeding the Brandt combo is fully open. Test water pressure by disconnecting the hose from the machine and running it into a bucket; you should see a strong flow.
- Clean inlet filters: At the back of the machine, remove the inlet hose. Inside the valve connection are small mesh filters. Gently pull them out with pliers, rinse under water, and reinstall.
- Inspect inlet hose: Check for kinks or internal blockages. Replace the hose if damaged or heavily scaled.
- Test inlet valve coils: With power off and rear panel removed, locate the water inlet valve. Disconnect the connectors and measure coil resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed coil; replace the water inlet valve assembly.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the valve to the control board for damage or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
- Control board consideration: If the valve and wiring are good but D03 persists, the main control board may not be energizing the valve. Professional diagnosis and board replacement may be required.
