Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or pressure hose, Defective pressure switch, Loose or damaged wiring between pressure switch and control board, Over-foaming causing false level readings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and ensure there is no standing water that could cause shock.
- Check for over-foaming: If you used too much detergent, excessive foam can trigger level errors. Run a rinse and spin cycle without detergent to clear foam.
- Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top panel to access the pressure switch. Follow the small hose from the switch to the tub or air chamber. Detach it and blow gently through it to clear blockages. Refit securely.
- Clean pressure chamber: If accessible, remove and clean the air chamber on the side of the tub where the hose connects. Soap scum can clog it and cause incorrect readings.
- Test pressure switch: With a multimeter, check continuity across the switch terminals while gently blowing into the pressure switch port. The contacts should change state as pressure increases. Replace the pressure switch if it does not respond correctly.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the pressure switch to the main control board for loose connectors or damage. Repair as needed.
