Possible Causes
Blocked condenser unit, Dirty moisture sensors inside drum, Faulty moisture sensor wiring, Control board moisture sensing circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before cleaning internal components.
- Clean condenser: If your Brandt combo has a removable condenser, take it out and rinse thoroughly. Remove lint from all fins and allow to dry before reinstalling.
- Clean moisture sensors: Inside the drum, locate the metal strips (usually near the door opening). Wipe them with a cloth dampened with white vinegar to remove detergent film that can insulate them.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Access the area behind the front panel where the moisture sensor wires connect. Ensure connectors are secure and wires undamaged.
- Test drying: Run a timed drying cycle. If timed drying works but automatic drying fails, the moisture sensing system is likely at fault. Replace the moisture sensor assembly if cleaning and wiring checks do not resolve the issue.
