Washer-dryer combo fills with water even when turned off, or slowly fills when not in use.

Safety first: Turn off the water supply and unplug the appliance.

• Confirm symptom: With the machine off but water tap open, check if water slowly enters the drum. If so, the inlet valve is leaking.
• Clean inlet valve: Remove the inlet hose and clean the mesh filters. If debris is suspected inside the valve, the valve should be replaced rather than disassembled.
• Replace inlet valve: Access the valve from the top or rear, disconnect wiring and hoses, and install a new Brandt-compatible water inlet valve.
• Control water pressure: If household pressure is very high, consider installing a pressure reducer.
