How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and mop up any spilled water to prevent slipping.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber seal all around. Look for tears, holes, or areas where the seal has pulled away from the tub.
- Remove foreign objects: Check the fold of the gasket for coins, bra wires, or other debris. Remove anything found.
- Check retaining clamp: Gently pull on the gasket where it meets the front panel. If it feels loose, the outer retaining band may have come off. Refit or replace the clamp.
- Replace gasket if damaged: Remove the outer and inner retaining bands, pull off the old gasket, and fit a new Brandt-compatible door seal, aligning the drain holes at the bottom. Reinstall clamps securely.
- Control suds: Use high-efficiency detergent and correct dosing to avoid foam pushing past the seal.
