Possible Causes
Loose or cracked drain hose, Damaged sump hose between tub and pump, Leaking tub-to-pump connection, Worn tub bearing seal allowing water to escape at rear
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply. Tilt the machine only with assistance to avoid injury.
- Inspect external hoses: Check the rear inlet and drain hoses for cracks, loose clamps, or drips during fill and drain. Tighten or replace as needed.
- Check sump hose and pump: Remove the rear or bottom panel and inspect the large black sump hose and pump connections for leaks while running a short fill/drain cycle (use caution and keep clear of moving parts). Replace any hose that is cracked or leaking.
- Examine tub seal area: If water appears at the rear center of the tub where the shaft exits, the tub bearing seal may be failing. This typically requires tub and bearing service or replacement by a technician.
