Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Do not continue to use the machine if it is violently shaking; this can cause further damage.

• Check load balance: First ensure the noise is not simply due to a very unbalanced load. Redistribute laundry and try again.
• Inspect shocks and springs: Remove the top and rear panels. Check the shock absorbers at the bottom for oil leakage or looseness. Replace in pairs if worn. Inspect suspension springs at the top for stretching or breakage and replace if needed.
