Possible Causes

Blocked pressure hose to water level sensor, Defective water level pressure sensor, Air leak in pressure hose, Faulty main control board water level circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply before opening the cabinet.

Steps:

  • Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try a rinse/spin to see if the error clears.
  • Inspect pressure hose: Access the top or rear of the Café combo to locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom of the tub to the water level sensor. Check for kinks, pinches, or disconnections.
  • Clear blockages: Remove the hose from the sensor and gently blow through it to clear soap residue or lint. Reattach securely.
  • Check for water in hose: If water is present in the hose, drain it and ensure the tub air dome is not clogged with detergent buildup.

When to call a technician: If the unit continues to overfill or code 5 returns, the pressure sensor or main control board may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a professional.
