Possible Causes
Moisture intrusion into control panel, Faulty touchpad or buttons, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Damaged UI PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the panel was exposed to steam or splashes, allow it to dry completely for several hours. Do not use a hair dryer on high heat directly on electronics.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and check the flat ribbon cable connection between the UI board and main PCB. Reseat the cable firmly.
- Clean around buttons: Wipe away detergent residue or grime that may cause buttons to stick.
- UI board replacement: If erratic behavior continues, replace the user interface PCB with a Costway-compatible part.
