Possible Causes
Blocked or kinked pressure hose, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor, Air leak in pressure hose connection, Wiring issue between sensor and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply before removing covers.
- Locate pressure sensor: Typically mounted near the top side wall, connected to the tub by a small rubber hose.
- Inspect pressure hose: Check the entire length of the hose for kinks, cracks, or disconnections. Re-seat both ends firmly on the tub and sensor nipples.
- Clear blockages: Detach the hose from the sensor and gently blow through it toward the tub to clear soap residue or lint. Do not use sharp tools that could puncture the hose.
- Check for water in hose: If water is present in the hose, drain it and ensure the tub air chamber is not clogged with detergent buildup.
- Test sensor (advanced): With a multimeter, measure sensor output according to the service manual while applying gentle air pressure. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range or intermittent.
- Inspect wiring: Verify that the connector at the sensor and at the main PCB is secure and free of corrosion.
- If E8 persists: Replace the water level sensor. If the new sensor does not resolve the issue, suspect a control board fault.
