Possible Causes
Door not fully closed or faulty door switch, Child lock function enabled, Faulty Start/Pause button or UI board, Control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel or door lock.
- Check display icons: Look for a child lock symbol. If present, disable child lock per the user manual (usually by holding specific buttons for several seconds).
- Verify door closure: Close the door firmly until you hear a click. Inspect the door gasket and strike for obstructions.
- Door lock test: If the door icon does not show locked when starting, follow the E7/E17 procedures to inspect and test the door lock assembly.
- Test Start button: Enter diagnostic mode if available (see manual) and test button response. If the Start key does not register, the UI board or keypad is faulty and should be replaced.
- Control reset: Unplug for 5 minutes to reset the control. If the issue persists, the main PCB may require replacement.
