Possible Causes
Failed detergent dispenser solenoid, Clogged dispenser inlet, Loose wiring to dispenser valve, Blocked dispenser housing with detergent buildup
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply before working near water valves.
- Clean dispenser drawer: Remove the detergent drawer and wash it thoroughly to remove caked detergent and softener.
- Inspect dispenser housing: Look inside the dispenser cavity for mold or buildup blocking water flow. Clean with warm water and a brush.
- Check dispenser valve: Access the dispenser water valve/solenoid assembly (often near the top rear). Inspect wiring and connectors for secure fit.
- Test solenoids: With a multimeter, check resistance of each dispenser solenoid coil. Replace the dispenser valve assembly if any coil is open.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the drawer, restore power and water, and run a cycle to confirm proper detergent and softener dispensing.
