Washer-dryer combo shows E9 and may stop mid-cycle; control panel may be unresponsive or behave erratically.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the control panel or main PCB. Capacitors may hold charge; avoid touching bare solder joints.

• Power reset: Disconnect power for at least 5 minutes to allow the control to fully discharge. Plug back in and see if E9 clears.
• Inspect wiring harnesses: Remove the top panel and control panel. Check all harness connectors between the main PCB, motor, sensors, and user interface. Reseat each connector firmly.
• Check for moisture: Look for signs of water or condensation on or near the control board. If present, identify and correct the source of the leak (door seal, dispenser, vent) and allow the board to dry completely.
• Look for burn marks: Examine the PCB for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or bulging capacitors. Visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
• Replace main PCB: If wiring and external components test good and E9 persists, replace the main control board with the correct Danby part number. Transfer any jumper settings as per service documentation.
