Possible Causes
Faulty door lock mechanism, Control board not sending unlock signal, Water remaining in drum, Overheated lock solenoid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the door open. Unplug the unit before attempting manual release.
- Wait and reset: Allow 2–5 minutes after cycle end; some locks delay opening. Try unplugging for 5 minutes and plugging back in.
- Check for water: If water is visible in the drum, run a drain-only cycle (if possible) or manually drain via the pump filter.
- Manual release: Access the door lock from the front (removing the lower panel or gasket clamp) and use the manual release tab (if provided) to open the door.
- Replace lock: If the lock repeatedly fails to release, replace the door lock assembly.
