Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or pressure hose, Faulty water level pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Control board sensing circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap.
- 1. Check for continuous filling: With the machine unplugged and water tap open, observe if water continues to enter. If yes, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
- 2. Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the pressure switch (usually a round device with a small rubber hose attached). Follow the hose down to the tub. Remove the hose and blow gently through it to clear any blockage. Also check the tub connection (pressure chamber) for soap scum buildup.
- 3. Test pressure switch: With the hose removed, gently blow into the switch and listen for clicks. Using a multimeter, verify that the switch contacts change state when pressure is applied. If not, replace the pressure switch.
- 4. Refit and secure: Reattach the hose firmly at both ends, ensuring no cracks or splits. A leaking hose will give false level readings.
- 5. Control board: If the pressure system and inlet valve are confirmed good but E04 persists, the main PCB may have a faulty level sensing circuit. This typically requires professional diagnosis and replacement.
Note: Overfilling can cause flooding. Do not leave the appliance unattended if it is repeatedly overfilling.
