Washer-dryer displays E07 and will not spin; door may remain locked with water inside

Safety: Disconnect power before working on the door system.

• 1. Verify door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and evenly. If the hinge is loose or the latch hook is worn, the lock may not fully engage. Tighten hinge screws and replace a damaged latch hook.
• 2. Inspect door lock: Access the door interlock by removing the front seal clamp and pulling back the bellows. Check for signs of overheating or melting on the lock body and connector. Replace the lock if any damage is visible.
• 3. Test continuity: With the door closed and machine unplugged, test continuity across the lock safety contacts using a multimeter. Intermittent readings indicate a failing lock.
• 4. Check wiring harness: Follow the harness from the lock to the main PCB. Look for pinched or broken wires, especially around the door opening and cabinet edges. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
• 5. Control board: If the lock and wiring are sound but E07 recurs only at spin speeds, the control board may be misreading the safety signal. This requires advanced diagnostics and likely PCB replacement.

Warning: Never force the door open while the drum is spinning or filled with hot water.
