E10
De Dietrich
Water Fill Timeout
Washer-dryer displays E10 and does not take in enough water or takes too long to fill
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Low household water pressure, Partially blocked inlet valve filters, Kinked or restricted inlet hose, Faulty water inlet valve coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close the water tap before removing hoses.
- 1. Confirm water pressure: Disconnect the inlet hose from the tap and run water into a bucket. Weak flow indicates a plumbing issue that must be resolved before using the appliance.
- 2. Clean filters and hose: Remove the hose from the machine and clean the mesh filters in the valve. Flush the hose to remove sediment. Replace if internally collapsed.
- 3. Check valve operation: With the machine unplugged, access the inlet valve from the top. Test coil resistance with a multimeter. Replace the valve if the coil is open or shorted.
- 4. Program selection: Ensure the selected program and options are appropriate for the load. Some eco programs use lower water levels and may appear to underfill, but should not trigger E10 under normal conditions.
Note: Persistent E10 with good water supply usually indicates a failing inlet valve or pressure sensing issue.
