Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, Excess detergent use, Standing water in sump and hoses, Mold growth on door seal and drum
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure good ventilation in the laundry area when using cleaning agents.
- 1. Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cotton cycle with a washing machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (check manual for compatibility) to dissolve residues.
- 2. Clean door seal: Wipe the bellows, especially the folds, with a mild bleach solution or dedicated cleaner to remove mold. Rinse thoroughly.
- 3. Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away deposits. Clean the housing and rinse.
- 4. Improve habits: Use the correct amount of detergent, run occasional hot washes, and leave the door and drawer slightly open between uses to dry out the interior.
Note: Severe mold on the seal may require replacing the door gasket.
