Worn or broken shock absorbers, Loose concrete counterweights, Machine not level, Shipping bolts not removed on new installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before tipping or accessing internal components.
- 1. Check installation: Confirm that all transport bolts were removed from the rear of the machine at installation. If still fitted, remove them according to the installation guide.
- 2. Level the machine: Adjust the feet so the washer-dryer is stable and does not rock. Lock the feet in place if locknuts are provided.
- 3. Inspect shocks: Remove the rear panel and observe the shock absorbers. Look for oil leakage, broken mounts, or excessive play. Replace shocks in pairs with compatible De Dietrich parts.
- 4. Counterweights: Check that the concrete or cast-iron weights on the tub are secure. Tighten any loose bolts to the specified torque.
Warning: Do not continue using the machine with severe banging; structural damage can occur.
