Possible Causes
Split sump hose between tub and pump, Loose hose clamp on pump or tub, Cracked drain pump housing, Damaged drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap. Tilt the machine only with assistance.
- 1. Remove panels: Take off the rear and/or bottom panel to locate the source of the leak. Use a torch to observe while running a short fill/drain test (with extreme caution and panels temporarily in place).
- 2. Inspect sump hose: Check the large black hose from the bottom of the tub to the pump for splits, pinholes, or loose clamps. Replace the hose if damaged and secure with new clamps.
- 3. Pump housing: Examine the pump body for cracks or leaks at the seal. Replace the pump if water seeps from the housing.
- 4. External drain hose: Check the rear drain hose for abrasions or kinks that may have caused damage. Replace if leaking.
Warning: Always ensure the machine is stable when tilted; do not work under an unsupported appliance.
