Possible Causes
Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Loose tachometer connector at motor, Broken tachometer magnet, Damaged wiring to control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit.
- 1. Access motor: Remove the rear panel and belt to access the motor.
- 2. Inspect tachometer: At the rear of the motor, check the small tachometer coil and magnet. Ensure the connector is secure and the magnet is intact.
- 3. Test tach coil: Measure resistance across the tachometer terminals. Replace the motor if the tach coil is open or out of spec.
If the tachometer and wiring are good, the main control board may not be reading the signal correctly and could require replacement.
