Possible Causes
Partially failed heating element, High-limit thermostat opening prematurely, Restricted airflow through condenser, Faulty NTC temperature sensor in dryer circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power.
- 1. Clean condenser and filters: Thoroughly clean the condenser unit and all lint filters. Rinse the condenser under running water if the manual allows.
- 2. Check load size: Avoid overloading the combo in drying mode; this can cause poor drying and E61.
- 3. Inspect NTC sensor: Locate the dryer temperature sensor (NTC) near the heater or air duct. Ensure it is clean and firmly attached.
If E61 persists, the heater element, thermostats, or NTC sensor may require electrical testing and replacement.
