Washer-dryer combo will not fill with water; cycle starts then quickly stops and displays E1.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.

Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Equator combo from power and turn off both hot and cold water supply valves before working on it.
- Check water supply: Verify both wall faucets are fully open and that household water pressure is normal. Try running a nearby sink to confirm good flow.
- Inspect inlet hoses: Pull the unit forward, close the valves, and disconnect the hot and cold hoses from the rear of the washer-dryer. Place a bucket under the connections. Briefly open each valve to confirm strong water flow from the wall.
- Clean inlet screens: Look inside the water inlet ports on the back of the Equator combo. Remove any debris from the small metal screens using needle-nose pliers and a soft brush. Do not puncture the screens.
- Check for kinked hoses: Ensure the hoses are not sharply bent or pinched when you push the unit back into place.
- Test the inlet valve electrically (advanced): With power still disconnected, remove the top panel to access the water inlet valve assembly. Use a multimeter to check each solenoid coil for continuity. A reading of open (infinite resistance) indicates a bad valve that must be replaced.
- Reassemble and test: Reconnect hoses, open valves, restore power, and run a quick wash to see if the E1 code clears.
If the unit still shows E1 and fills very slowly or not at all, the inlet valve assembly or water level sensor may need replacement by a qualified technician.
