Possible Causes
Failed wash NTC sensor on Equator combo, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to NTC, Faulty control board analog input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow any hot water inside to cool before working near the tub.
- Locate wash NTC: Typically mounted in the outer tub wall near the heater element. Access from the rear or bottom depending on model.
- Inspect connector: Ensure the NTC plug is fully seated and free of corrosion or moisture.
- Test sensor: Use a multimeter to measure resistance at room temperature. Compare with Equator specifications (commonly several kΩ). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a bad sensor.
- Replace NTC: If faulty, remove the sensor from the tub and install a new one with the correct seal to prevent leaks.
If E14 persists with a known-good sensor, the main control board may be misreading the sensor and require replacement.
