Possible Causes
Faulty door switch contacts in Equator door lock, Loose door lock wiring, Misaligned door causing intermittent contact, Defective control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the door lock assembly.
- Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes squarely and the latch engages fully. Adjust hinges if the door is sagging.
- Inspect gasket: Make sure the door boot is not folded or obstructing closure.
- Access door lock: Remove the front gasket clamp and pull back the gasket to reach the lock. Check that the wiring connector is secure.
- Test door switch: With a multimeter, test continuity of the door-closed switch when the lock is engaged. Replace the lock assembly if the switch is intermittent or open when closed.
If the door lock tests good, the control board may be misreading the door signal and require professional diagnosis.
