Possible Causes
Load bunched to one side of drum, Single heavy item (e.g., bath mat) causing imbalance, Worn suspension shocks or springs on Equator combo, Unit not leveled on floor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Press pause and wait for the door to unlock before reaching inside.
- Redistribute the load: Open the door, separate tangled items, and spread clothes evenly around the drum. Avoid washing a single heavy item alone.
- Reduce load size: If the drum is packed, remove some items and run a smaller load.
- Level the machine: Use a bubble level on top of the unit. Adjust the front and rear leveling feet so the washer-dryer is stable and does not rock when pushed diagonally.
- Check floor stability: Ensure the unit is on a solid, non-flexing surface. Avoid placing it on soft wood or weak platforms.
- Inspect suspension (advanced): With power disconnected, remove the top panel and visually inspect the suspension springs and shock absorbers. If you see oil leakage from shocks or broken springs, they should be replaced.
After correcting the load and leveling, restart the cycle. Persistent E4 with normal loads may indicate worn suspension components that require replacement.
