Possible Causes

Failed dryer heating element in Equator combo, Open high-limit thermostat or thermal cutoff, Blocked condenser or lint passages, Faulty dryer temperature sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before accessing internal dryer components.

  • Clean lint filters: Remove and clean the main lint filter. On some Equator combos, also clean any secondary lint screens or condenser filters accessible from the front.
  • Check airflow: Ensure the combo has adequate clearance around it and that any ventless condenser passages are not blocked by dust.
  • Access dryer heater (advanced): Remove the top and rear panels to locate the dryer heater housing, usually mounted at the back of the drum or in a side duct.
  • Test heater element: Disconnect the heater leads and measure resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed heater.
  • Check thermostats: Locate the high-limit thermostat and thermal cutoff on the heater housing. Test for continuity. Any open safety device must be replaced and the cause of overheating (blocked airflow) corrected.

If all heating components test good, the issue may be with the main control board or dryer relay, which should be diagnosed by a professional.
