Possible Causes
Blocked pressure hose to water level sensor, Faulty pressure sensor on Equator combo control, Air leak in pressure hose, Defective main control board input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply before opening panels.
- Locate pressure sensor: Remove the top panel. The water level sensor is usually a small round or rectangular device with a thin rubber hose attached, mounted near the side wall or control panel.
- Inspect pressure hose: Check the hose for kinks, cracks, or disconnections. Remove the hose from the sensor and from the tub connection and blow through it to ensure it is clear.
- Clean tub air dome: At the tub end of the hose, ensure the air dome or nipple is not clogged with detergent residue. Clean gently with a small brush or pipe cleaner.
- Reconnect securely: Reattach the hose firmly at both ends to prevent air leaks.
- Advanced testing: If E8 persists, the pressure sensor itself may be faulty. It can be replaced by disconnecting the wiring and hose and installing a new Equator-compatible sensor.
Persistent E8 after sensor replacement may indicate a control board fault that requires professional diagnosis.
