Possible Causes
Clogged inlet filter screens, Faulty hot or cold water inlet valve, Low household water pressure, Defective water level pressure sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close both water supply taps before disconnecting hoses.
- Step 1 – Check water supply: Ensure both hot and cold taps feeding the Essentials washer-dryer are fully open. Verify household water pressure by running a nearby tap.
- Step 2 – Clean inlet filters: Disconnect the inlet hoses from the rear valves. Inside the valve inlets are small mesh filters; remove and rinse them under running water to clear debris and limescale.
- Step 3 – Inspect hoses: Check hoses for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage. Replace any damaged hoses.
- Step 4 – Test inlet valves: With power disconnected, access the top of the machine and locate the dual water inlet valve assembly. Check the electrical connectors are firmly seated. If you have a multimeter, test the valve coils for continuity; an open coil indicates a failed valve.
- Step 5 – Replace inlet valve if needed: If the valve is not opening or coils are open, install a new Essentials-compatible water inlet valve assembly and reconnect hoses securely.
- Step 6 – Check pressure sensor if issue persists: If the tub never begins to fill but valves test good, the water level pressure sensor or its air hose may be faulty or blocked. Inspect the small rubber hose from the tub to the sensor for kinks or blockages.
