Possible Causes
Failed cold water valve coil, Blocked cold inlet filter, Loose wiring to cold valve, Low cold water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the cold water tap before disconnecting hoses.
- Step 1 – Verify water supply: Confirm that the cold tap is open and water flows freely from the hose when disconnected from the machine.
- Step 2 – Clean filter: Remove the cold inlet hose and clean the mesh filter inside the cold valve port.
- Step 3 – Check wiring: Remove the top cover and locate the dual inlet valve. Ensure the cold valve connector is firmly attached and not corroded.
- Step 4 – Test valve coil: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the cold valve coil. An open reading indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Step 5 – Replace valve: Install a new Essentials-compatible inlet valve assembly if the cold side is defective. Reconnect hoses and test for leaks.
