Washer-dryer combo will not power on at all; no lights or display

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before opening any covers. If you are not comfortable working with mains voltage components, contact a professional.

• Step 1 – Check outlet and plug: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Inspect the Essentials washer-dryer plug and replace the fuse if blown (use the correct rating as marked).
• Step 2 – Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks in the power cord. Replace the cord set if damaged.
• Step 3 – Check mains filter: Remove the rear panel and locate the mains filter module where the power cord enters. Inspect for burning or swelling. A failed filter can interrupt power and must be replaced.
• Step 4 – Test power switch: If your model has a mechanical power button, test it for continuity when pressed. Replace if faulty.
• Step 5 – PCB power supply: If power reaches the main control PCB but the display remains dead, the PCB's low-voltage power supply may have failed. This typically requires PCB replacement.
