Possible Causes
Door lock mechanism jammed, Faulty door interlock solenoid, Broken door handle or latch, Control board not sending unlock signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. If there is water in the drum, drain it via the pump filter before attempting to open the door.
- Step 1 – Wait and power cycle: Allow several minutes after the cycle ends. Reconnect power and try a cancel/drain program. Sometimes the lock releases after a reset.
- Step 2 – Manual release: Access the manual door release (if fitted) behind the pump filter flap or by removing the lower front panel. Pull the release tab or cable gently to open the door.
- Step 3 – Inspect door handle and latch: Check for broken plastic parts on the handle or latch hook. Replace damaged components.
- Step 4 – Test door lock: Remove the door seal clamp and access the Fagor door lock. Test the lock coil for continuity with a multimeter. If open circuit or mechanically jammed, replace the door lock assembly.
- Step 5 – Control board check: If a new lock does not resolve E11, the control board output to the lock may be faulty and should be tested by a technician.
